About me.

I’m fascinated by the ways in which design can make life better, and I believe it can be more meaningful, more moving, and more memorable if we put the human experience at the center of the design process. Combining wild creativity with strategic rigor, I dream up inventive ideas infused with deep empathy for the messiness, tenderness, and vulnerability of being human. The result is transformative experiences people can’t stop talking about.

My work is informed by a diverse background in the fine arts, positive psychology, experience design, relationship-building facilitation practices, and radical curiosity. To give someone something they want, but don’t expect requires deep insight into humanity—identity, emotions, expectations, and memory—and I consider myself a lifelong student of the human condition.

In 2021 I was a resident at Kaospilot+ in Berlin, where I developed a pilot program for making events more introvert-friendly and sensitive to attendees with diverse social needs. I designed a framework for dealing with the challenges of making genuine connections within the context of large conferences. I now teach the experience design segment of the KP+ residency program.

Originally from New Jersey, I have lived all over the world including New York, San Francisco, Bali, Austin, Costa Rica, Mexico, and now Berlin, where I reside with my daughters, Tully & Nova. I also have a small farm in Spain where we produce olive oil. Before pivoting to experience design I was a photographer for ten years.
